Save time and set up an eWallet for your child HERE. This will allow your child to shop during school hours as each class visits the book fair. Other accepted forms of payment include: Cash, Credit Card, Debit, and Apple Pay.
We are still looking for parent volunteers - sign up HERE. We truly appreciate any time you can spare!
SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR FAQs
September 26 - October 2
As a parent, when can I go to the book fair? Friday 9/26 - Thursday 10/2 8AM - 4:30PM (not open on weekend).
Will my child be going to the book fair with their class? Double check with your child’s teacher.
Will they be able to purchase books when they go with their class? Check with your child’s teacher as some are not having them purchase during their visits. If they are, they can use their eWallet or cash.
I don’t want my child buying books without me, what options are there? There are forms available for kids to make wish lists during their classroom visit times that they can bring home to you.
How will my child know how much money they have on their eWallet or be able to add up their purchases correctly? How much do most parents put in the eWallet? We have parent volunteers available to look up amounts available and help kids determine how much they can spend. The suggested amount is around $25.
What if there is money leftover on their eWallet? The remainder will be emailed to you as a gift certificate to spend either at this book fair or anytime on the scholastic website.
What forms of payment are accepted? Cash, Apple Pay, Credit, Debit, eWallet.
I see you are running out of some books, will more come in? Yes, we continue to get restocks throughout the week.
How can I contribute or donate books to my child’s classroom? There are bins set up at the book fair that have teacher names on them. Teachers are placing books they would like for their classroom in them. You can take it out of the bin to purchase and put a note stating it was donated by your family. Some teachers also set up eWallets where you can donate so please check with your individual teacher on how to contribute.
Does the money we spend buying books for our kids somehow go back to the school? Yes! We get 50% of what we spend (minus taxes) credited to school. All teachers have the opportunity to refresh their classrooms in January using gate Scholastic money we earn.
