Brighton Fun Run: Monday, May 11
All School Day
Brighton School Field
What is the Fun Run?
The Fun Run is the PTO's biggest and only in-person fundraising event where all students run laps around the Brighton field. They raise money from friends and family sponsoring them. The funds raised provide all our 377 Brighton students with enrichment events during the year, supplement the cost of overnight trips, show appreciation to our teachers, and fund school community events. The Fun Run also emphasizes fitness and school spirit!
How does it work?
Each Brighton student in Preschool thru 8th grade runs on our Brighton field, which is adjusted for their age. Most kids run 30-35 laps, but no supporter is charged more than 35 laps! All students receive a 2026 Fun Run T-shirt to run the race in & get a POPSICLE to enjoy after their race.
Can I come watch the Fun Run?
Absolutely! All families and supporters are welcome to join on the field to celebrate their kids with cheers and posters! We'll also need volunteers for each race to mark laps on shirts, so please consider signing up to volunteer as well!
When is my student running?
May 11 Race Schedule:
9:10am-10am PS & PK
10:10am-11am K & 1st
12:05pm-1:00pm 5th-8th

What's the fundraising goal?
$65,000!
Almost half the Fun Run donations come from extended family and friends, not parents! Having even one dollar a lap from supporters really adds up!
New This Year: Color Run! π
Our Fun Run is constantly evolving. This year we are adding COLOR! When our runners finish, they will be doused in vibrant, food-grade cornstarch powder. Runners can also always choose not to go through the color zone.
THIS YEAR'S PRIZE THEME: TRENDING SQUISHIES!
We have set up an arcade-style prize redemption system for students. Students earn virtual tickets for raising dollars per lap then get to redeem these tickets at our Prize Table in the Brighton Lobby.
$1 per lap = 1 Ticket to be redeemed at Prize Table
All registered students also get a registration prize
